This year, around 40,000 whales are predicted to pass the shores of Sydney Harbour as part of the yearly migration. The Whale Express offers the best opportunity to witness one of nature's largest migrations worldwide.

Whale Watching Explorer can get you there quickly, outside the heads in approximately 20 minutes and that’s when the quest to find the whales begin.

The crew provides fascinating commentary about the whale migration and information about whale behaviour once you have spotted a humpback or two.

Whale watching is different every day; we don't always witness the same behaviours from the whales on each voyage, but you might witness breaching, pec slapping, cruising, head-slapping, competing pods, and even mothers and newborns.

Whether it’s your first time whale watching or you have seen whales before, jump onboard Whale Express for your next whale watching adventure.

Inclusions:

  • 2.5 Hour cruise departing from Eastern Pontoon Circular Quay

  • Commentary on the whales and their behaviour, facts and statistics

  • Vessel Explorer is capable of carrying 64 persons with the number limited to 46 persons to ensure everyone gets a good view.

  • Comfortable vessel that will escort you out quickly and has a covered roof for protection from all weather elements

  • Sightseeing guarantee that if you don’t see whales you get to join another cruise for free. Valid for 3 years.

Important Notes: 
Cruise is NOT suitable for pregnant women, people with recent surgeries, or mobility restrictions.
Children must be over 5 years of age
You may encounter wind and sea spray on this cruise.
We recommend you wear weather appropriate clothing, wind and rain jackets to protect from the sea spray.
