Port Philip Bay boasts a magnificent sailing location. Safety first and foremost is the most important guiding principle on the bay. All persons on a vessel must obey the directions of all maritime authorities, including vessel staff and comply with all maritime regulations.
Conditions for Booking a Charter
- Bookings
Cannot be confirmed until a deposit is received. - Deposit
50% of the charter fee is required to confirm the booking.
Balance of all Charter Fees must be paid 30 days before Charter Date. - Security Bond
At the commencement of the charter, a credit card bearing the same name as the booking person or the company for a security bond. Any charge for loss, damage or theft from the vessel will be charged to this credit card. - Cleaning
If more than normal cleaning is required then a charge of $100 per hour will be charged to a maximum of 3 hours. This charge will be deducted from the Credit Card. - Charter Fee Prices
All prices are subject to change without notice. - Payment
Cash, EFT, Visa and Mastercard Credit Cards accepted (CC +1.8%) - Postponement and Date Changes
Verve is able to sail in most conditions. The skipper will cruise in sheltered waters if it is rough. If adverse weather conditions are determined by the skipper and the charter cannot proceed that day, the charter will be rescheduled to the next available week. Refunds are not available.
For all other postponements, a 50% fee on the cost of the booking + the Credit Card Fee will be charged, together with payment in full for the skipper, crew and catering (unless 30 days’ notice of the postponement is given in writing, in which case there is no charge for the skipper, crew and catering, but the 50% postponement fee still applies). - Cancellation of charter and tours
If notice of the cancellation is given in writing within 30 days of the charter, all monies owed, are due and payable are not refundable.
If notice of the cancellation is given prior to 30 days of the Charter, then 50% of the Charter cost must be paid + any Credit Card charges, will be retained and all other monies refunded after 30 days. - Cancellation NYE Charters - all monies paid is non refundable
- Footwear
Black and dark soled shoes leave marks on the vessel and are not permitted. White or light soled shoes are suggested. - No high heels are permitted to be worn on the catamaran for Health & Safety reasons.
- Bare feet and thongs are fine.
- A shoe storage box is provided.
- Smoking
Smoking is not permitted on board. - RSA - We strictly adhere to Responsible Serving and drinking of Alcohol.
- BYO Drinks - Verve has a full liquor licence. BYO drinks is not permitted
- BYO Food - Self-catering, Food only (no access to galley – eskies and BYO ice for refrigeration)
BYO - cakeage charge applies
Exclusion of Liability
We exclude all liability for death or personal injury arising from any failure by us to take due care and skill in performing our services and ensuring that our yacht is reasonably fit for use in our services. This exclusion of liability includes all of our employees, agents and any other person we may have working with us in providing our services to you.
Subject to any rights imposed by law that cannot be limited or excluded:
- All warranties or conditions implied by law are excluded.
- If implied warranties or conditions cannot be excluded, but limitation is permitted, our liability is limited to, in relation to goods, a refund of the purchase price actually paid, the replacement of the damaged product or the supply of equivalent product at our absolute discretion and, in the case of services, the supply of the services again or the payment of the cost of having the service supplied again.
- In no circumstances are we liable for special, indirect or consequential loss or damage of any kind including any loss of profit or of contract, even if you advise us of any special circumstances or such loss was reasonably foreseeable. This includes, but is not limited to, the transmission of any computer viruses or anything else (such as worms or trojan horses) that may interfere with or damage the operation of your computer system.
The operator reserves the right to use photos of you and your guests on our website and for other marketing purposes, unless you specifically advise us not to. Any privacy related queries should be submitted in writing
